Gender Essentialism: A conversation between Islamic and Christian feminists (ETS Paper)

Mimi will present a paper at the virtual annual meeting of the Evangelical Theological Society (ETS) on November 18, 2020, at 6:30 pm EST. Mimi’s paper will examine gender essentialism from a Christian feminist perspective in conversation with Islamic feminists. You must be a registered attendee at ETS in order to attend this event.

Gender and Justice: What Christians Often Overlook

Mimi will be joining a Denver Seminary class titled “Introductory Theories of Counseling” on Thursday, November 5. Mimi will be discussing gender roles within a biblical/Christian perspective with the class. This class is not open to the public, and registration is already closed for eligible Denver Seminary students.

Mimi led a class session on “How Patriarchy Engenders Violence” as part of a Houghton College course titled “Rethinking Evangelicalism.” This course is taught by Houghton Professor Dr. Kristina LaCelle Peterson. Because this class is part of a Houghton College course that is already in progress, this session is neither open for public attendance nor for registration by Houghton students.
