Michele Rickett

Michele Rickett is co-author of InterVarsity Press books, Daughters of Hope and Forgotten Girls. For over 30 years she has worked to raise awareness and combat the injustices women and girls face in communities where violence against females is the norm. Michele is the founder and president of She Is Safe (SIS), a Christian nonprofit that prevents, rescues, and restores women and girls from suffering abuse and exploitation in high-risk communities in the developing world. SIS addresses gender-based violence (GBV) by equipping women, girls, and families to build lives of freedom and faith for a stronger future with a holistic combination of discipleship, health information, education and economic opportunities.
