Dear Friend,

You are part of an exciting movement as you partner with CBE to spread the biblical message that God created women and men to lead and serve together! New books and podcasts seem to come out daily wrestling with the implications of biblical mutuality for women and men in churches and homes. But imagine not having access to CBE resources because of language barriers!

In the USA alone there are 42 million native Spanish speakers. However, the Spanish speaking world, which spans the Americas and extends to Spain, has very few egalitarian resources. Not many Spanish speakers have heard the biblical message of mutuality for women and men. At CBE, we’re working to change that reality! To do this, we need to expand our Spanish radio spots to other stations in the Spanish-speaking world, like Argentina.

Sharing the Stories of Women Leaders on Spanish Radio

In February 2023, we began translating CBE’s Women in Scripture and Mission radio spots into 60-second Spanish spots. Featuring women from Scripture and church history, the radio spots show how women were created to share leadership with men. Listeners are then directed to CBE through mujerradio.org, which provides a more thorough biography of each woman in Spanish.

Since 2023, we have been airing these radio spots on Salem Luz Spanish station based in Dallas, Texas. The station also airs CBE spots digitally through the Salem radio station website. On average, forty-seven people visit CBE’s website after every airing. Content on women as created in God’s image for shared leadership is new to Salem’s Spanish radio listeners, and the station managers are thrilled about the radio spots!

Station managers have been strategizing to increase CBE’s reach by placing our radio spots at the best times, and by providing free additional spots when there are gaps in their schedule. The social media spots created by CBE are also placed on the station’s social media. And every quarter the radio station airs an interview with CBE, translated into Spanish. These interviews provide listeners with more information about biblical women, CBE, and our faith.

Spanish speakers are not only accessing this station through the North Texas airwaves, but internationally through the internet. Seven of the top ten countries coming to CBE’s website are from Spain, Mexico, Columbia, Venezuela, Argentina, Chili and Peru!

The annual cost to expand our Spanish radio spots to other stations in the Spanish speaking world is approximately $20,000 per station.

Spanish Users on CBE’s Website Are Increasing!

The results of CBE’s Women and Mission radio spots have far exceeded our wildest dreams! In the first year of playing these radio spots, Spanish speakers visiting CBE’s website increased from a few hundred per month to 3,000 per day!

  • Mexico increased from 683 visits to 7,145 visits per quarter.
  • Colombia increased from 368 visits to 3,195 visits per quarter.
  • Spain increased from 395 visits to 3,160 visits per quarter.

Argentina, Chile, Venezuela, Peru, and other countries are also visiting CBE’s website in record numbers! By October of 2023, 169,000 people per quarter used our website’s Spanish Google Translate to read more about women’s biblical equality.

This year, the numbers of those using Spanish Google Translate to read CBE’s Website have nearly tripled! In 2024, 365,000 people per quarter used our website’s Spanish Google Translate, which includes the following countries:

  • Mexico: 18,224 visits per quarter
  • Colombia: 8,931 per quarter
  • Spain: 9,181 per quarter

Translating CBE Resources into Spanish

Spanish speakers are calling and writing to request more resources in Spanish. So, we created a Spanish resource web page on CBE’s website, but we need your help to translate more resources into Spanish. All of CBE’s current Spanish resources can be found on this page, from lectures recorded at CBE’s 2014 Colombia conference, to articles by Phil Payne, and books such as Still-Side-by-Side. Just this month we added our popular book on marriage—Mutual by Design—newly translated into Spanish. We are thankful for these resources, but more is needed. Can we count on your help?

Based on the interest in Spanish resources, we need to:

  • Add a quarterly Spanish podcast thread exploring egalitarian theology—how to practically live out Scripture’s teachings of marriage, ministry, and more. Costs are approximately $2,000 per year.
  • Translate:
    • Partners in Marriage and Ministry by Ron Pierce. Costs are approximately $5,030.
    • Created to Thrive: Abuse Free Faith Communities. Costs are approximately $15,000.
    • CBE’s monthly newsletter.

Join us in expanding our reach to Spanish-speakers globally who eagerly want to learn more about Scripture’s message that God created women and men for mutuality!

Thank you for partnering with CBE to spread the message worldwide that God calls women to use the gifts he has given them! (1 Peter 4:10).

PS: Listen as Carolina Guzman and Karla Perdoma from Salem Media’s La Luz Radio station share how CBE’s conference and radio spots on Spanish radio are making an impact. Go to https://youtu.be/LaQTgaj8Oyk.

Carolina Guzman, from Radio Luz, says women are surprised when they learn about women of the Scriptures from a different perspective. They are excited to see themselves reflected in the lives of women in the Bible and women that contributed to the development of the church and community.
