From CBE’s 2022 Conference “Exploring the Fullness of Galatians 3:28” in Atlanta Georgia.
Using the story of Ruth and Naomi, we will explore themes of reconciliation and incorporate global and domestic examples of women leading in justice and reconciliation initiatives throughout history. Using womanist theological themes of “grandmother theology” and sisterhood to examine questions such as “Why is reconciliation so hard for women?” and to explore the inherent strengths of womanhood. Participants will leave with a greater understanding of the historical, socio-economic, and political barriers preventing women from championing justice efforts and pursuing true biblical reconciliation.
