From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I (Ps. 61:2).
Have I known a prophet?
Yes.
I have heard her speak the wisdom of ages
And of a love that promises to heal this broken world.
Her eyes are oceans—
Blue, clear,
Filled with strength and power,
Crashing into the rocky depths of souls.
She stands
With the intensity
Of mighty warriors.
But the true strength lies in her heart,
One that carries the stories of a harder journey than most.
She has pushed forth as a wave, over jagged rocks.
It is a journey few ever truly know.
But she tells her story,
If you listen closely,
Through the words of love she speaks.
She says she knows a rock that rises high
And calls out to the Rock of Ages.
Her refuge.
For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against my foe (Ps. 61:3).
She is a woman of courage,
Loving others deeply,
With true abandon.
I have a sister whose eyes see the art
The beauty
The healing
The redemption
That can come
Yes, my soul finds rest in God; my hope comes from him (Ps. 62:5)
From him.
Abba
May she dive to the depths of the oceans,
Feeling the currents of love and power
Far beyond what she can imagine.
Rush over her.
Be her vision,
The words of honey flowing from her lips.
Selah.
My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken (Ps. 62:1).
