No Woman or Girl Left Behind: Restoring Girls in China and Cambodia

by Lily Lee | July 25, 2013

Though gender equality has taken gigantic strides inside and outside of the churches in the past decades, there are yet increasingly many, many horrid stories of women and girls whose lives are severely broken by extreme abuses and exploitations beyond description.

In the framework of “Creation-Fall-Redemption,” and using as examples the China and Cambodia ministries founded by the speaker, this workshop seeks to look at the women and girls left behind by the movement, and to explore the root cultural patriarchal worldviews that created and maintained these horrific gender-bias practices. Most important of all, this lecture challenges Christian responses to see that no women or girls are left behind in redemption and restoration to God’s image in his eternal plan for full and abundant lives.
