A local chapter is a group of CBE supporters who live or work in a particular location and who, as a matter of geographic convenience, organize themselves to promote the goals of CBE International through mutual education and support and by engaging their local community on issues related to CBE’s mission.
Advancing Biblical Equality
Chapters are a local expression of the movement led by CBE International, collaborating to advance biblical equality in their homes, churches, and communities. Engaging their individual creativity and unique gifts, CBE chapters have hosted a variety of events like educational forums, leadership summits, community meals, fundraisers like golf tournaments and Zumbathons, film screenings, and coffee talks. Local chapters also function as incubators where chapter members grow advocacy and communication skills which they contribute to CBE International’s magazine, academic journal, annual conference, and blog.
Networking, Leadership, and Personal Growth
By meeting others interested in CBE’s mission, chapter members have made life-long connections and friendships which have significantly impacted their individual lives, churches, and communities. Additionally, on the mission together, chapter members utilize and further develop professional skills like community engagement, marketing, outreach, event coordinating, and development. Participating in a local chapter offers enrichment and educational opportunities close to home, providing a bridge between annual CBE International conferences.
