Philip B. Payne
Philip Barton Payne has a B.A. with high honors from Wheaton College, M.A. and M.Div. with highest honors from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and Ph.D. in New Testament from the University of Cambridge. He and his wife Nancy were missionaries in Japan with the Evangelcal Free Church of America for two terms and have three children and five grandchildren. Phil is well known for his original discoveries regarding New Testament textual criticism, the parables of Jesus, and his book Man and Woman, One in Christ (Zondervan, 2009). Phil has taught New Testament in colleges of the University of Cambridge, at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, Bethel Seminary, and Fuller Seminary Northwest.
