
Johnrice Newton
Johnrice Newton is a graduate from Texas Tech University–Lubbock, Texas with a BA in social welfare. She graduated from Methodist Hospital School of Nursing, Lubbock, TX and has been a registered nurse since 1988. She has been a faith community nurse (parish nurse) since 1998 and was named one of the Great 100 Nurses in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. She obtained MDiv at Brite Divinity School–Texas Christian University–Ft. Worth, TX, in December, 2014. Newton is the president and founder of Tapestry Ministries, Inc.
Johnrice is also a contributing writer to CBE’s latest book, Created to Thrive: Cultivating Abuse-Free Faith Communities.
