Evelyn J. Dahlke

Evelyn J. Dahlke co-owned and operated a dairy farm for the twenty plus years of her marriage while also teaching elementary education skills/serving as a program coordinator for persons with mental and physical disabilities. Upon leaving her marriage, she attended Luther Seminary and now serves as an ordained pastor in the ELCA. Evelyn is also an artist and writer. She has two poems published by the American Library of Poetry, “Butterfly Song” and “Most Precious Gift.” She has also worked on gift design for Augsburg Fortress. Evelyn is the author of the soon to be published book, Butterfly Song (Plainview Press), in which she documents in detail her life with her abuser and the difficult process of leaving the abuse. She currently makes her home in Roseville, Minnesota.
