Donald M. Lewis

Donald M. Lewis is an alumnus of Regent College who went on to do doctoral work at Oxford University before going back to Regent as a faculty member. Don Lewis is a specialist in the history of evangelicalism in the Victorian era and has written and published extensively in this area. He has written numerous articles and book reviews for both popular and academic periodicals, including Fides Et Historia and The American Historical Review. He has recently completed a book on the nineteenth-century background to the rise of Christian Zionism, The Origins of Christian Zionism: Evangelical Support for a Jewish Homeland. Don Lewis has served as Regent’s academic dean, and is currently the secretary of the college’s Anglican studies program. He is also a fellow of the Royal Historical Society. He and his wife Lindi have three children.
