Unit 5: Access and Input

In the preceding unit, we have focused on the examination of whether women are provided with equal opportunities and resources to foster their growth as leaders. In this unit, we will explore the extent to which women have equal access to ministry opportunities and involvement in decision-making processes. Additionally, we will evaluate how women’s opinions are received by church leaders and fellow members in comparison to men.

When a Christian community aspires to enhance women’s participation and ownership within their midst, it is insufficient to solely encourage them to dedicate more time and utilize their talents. The cultivation of women’s participation and ownership must begin with the establishment of an environment that is supportive and inclusive for women, where everyone is granted equal access to ministry opportunities and where every individual’s input is welcomed and respected.
