Unit 3: Preaching and Teaching

When it comes to public vision casting, who is the first person that comes to mind? And when it comes to storytelling or sharing a testimony, do we envision someone different? To what extent does gender stereotypes play a role in these perceptions? 

The object of this unit is to assist readers in exploring the assumptions about women and men in sermons, religious education courses, and Bible translation and interpretation. These explicit factors have a profound impact on our community life. By approaching preaching and teaching with attentiveness and sensitivity, a Christian community can seize the powerful opportunity to foster women’s equality.
