Dr. Mimi Haddad will address members of Truett Women in Ministry at a dinner hosted by the Center for Ministry Effectiveness 5:30 pm, Tuesday, April 18th at the First Baptist Church, Waco TX. Dinner is by invitation only.
The lecture will be on the topic “Why Women’s Leadership Is A Primary Issue: Wisdom from the Early Evangelicals.”
Lecture description: The early evangelicals were radical social reformers whose work was rooted in a theological conservatism that fueled not only abolition and suffrage, but also an evangelism that extended Christian faith well beyond that of previous generations. Their achievements were driven by a high regard of Scripture, an undaunted belief that all of life is made new through the Cross, and that our newness of life in Christ fuels activism not only in word but especially in deed.
