For over 30 years, CBE International has been at the forefront of conversations on theology, gender, and abuse. In the last two years, the #MeToo movement has shaped conversation across society, and the church is no exception. This year, CBE is pleased to offer a free resource on the intersection of theology and abuse: Eyes to See and Ears to Hear Women

In the #MeToo era, no one can claim ignorance about the epidemic of abuse and violence against women. For too long, church leaders have failed to see the abuse in the church and failed to hear the women who cry out for justice. 

In Eyes to See and Ears to Hear Women, Christian scholars examine evangelical Christianity’s engagement with women, gender, sexuality, and abuse. They reveal startling connections between popular teachings on gender and the abuse crisis that has plagued society for centuries.
