The issue of spousal abuse, especially against women, has become a silent epidemic within Christian environments. The church is called to be a place of refuge, healing, and growth, but survivors often find that faith leaders lack both awareness and knowledge regarding the nature of abuse, as well as the skills to address this crucial issue.
As a licensed professional counselor, former pastor, and ordained minister, Cecilie works with abuse survivors regularly and has engaged in decades of study. Increasingly she has become aware of the great need within faith communities to offer understanding and real spiritual and practical support to the victims suffering within our midst.
