Who We Are

We are an international organization working to educate, advocate, and liberate women and men from Christian patriarchy

As the world’s largest egalitarian organization, CBE has challenged biblical and patriarchal social barriers to women’s equality for over thirty years. Beside leaders in more than 100 denominations and 214 countries, we’re advancing global conversations on women’s shared voice and leadership in the home, church, and world.

What We Do

We proclaim God's design for mutual service between women and men

CBE International provides egalitarian resources, venues, events, and partnerships to promote the biblical basis for the shared authority of women and men worldwide. CBE engages the original context and language of Scripture to show how the Bible teaches that women and men are equally created in God’s image for shared governance in all spheres. Join CBE to help make women and men’s biblical equality a reality worldwide.

Why Mutuality?

God’s design for women and men is shared authority

Scripture teaches the fundamental equality of women and men regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, or social class (e.g., Galatians 3:28). Because of sin, the biblical texts are mistranslated and misinterpreted, devaluing women, and diminishing human flourishing and placing females at risk for abuse. CBE is needed to create global conversations that critique Christian patriarchy that provide the biblical basis for women’s shared and equal leadership in the home, church, and world.
