Announcing CBE's
AUTUMN Lecture Series with Dr. Kevin Giles
Have you noticed how
difficult it is to correct misperceptions once they take root?
Consider some of the material we read about the Trinity: some
evangelical scholars now insist that Jesus is eternally
subordinate to God the Father. They make this claim to support
their view of the subordination of women to men. This distorted
view of the Trinity is spreading like a bad virus through some
Christian circles.
To help restore an
orthodox view of the Trinity where God the Son shares with God
the Father in power and authority, CBE is sponsoring a lecture
tour for Australian author and speaker, Kevin Giles. Giles will
speak at churches, colleges and seminaries around the US for one
month, reclaiming a biblical view of the Trinity. Perhaps most
importantly, he will lecture at the Evangelical Theological
Society (ETS) convention, where thousands of Christian
undergraduate and graduate students
will convene.
Dr. Giles' schedule follows. For more information, please

Dr. Kevin Giles, an Anglican
priest from Australia, holds a Ph.D. in New Testament. He has
written two ground-breaking books on the Trinity, Trinity and
Subordinationism: The Doctrine of God and the Contemporary
Gender Debate (InterVarsity Press, 2002) and Jesus and
the Father: Modern Evangelicals Reinvent the Doctrine of the
Trinity (Zondervan, 2006), and has contributed to IVP’s
Dictionary of Jesus and the Gospels. Kevin served as a
consulting theologian to the 2004 Lausanne Committee for World
Evangelization as well as World Vision Australia.
What makes Dr. Giles’ work so
relevant? A gifted speaker and sought after theologian, Kevin
inspires men and women to share equally in Gospel work by
illuminating the mutuality noted in the Trinity. Giles advances
gift-based ministry, and he encourages women to use their gifts
beside men, in service to Christ.
