We have an opportunity to partner with the Christian Library
International (CLI), sending two books to 1,000 prison
libraries. These books minister to men
and women at a point when they are searching for answers.
They are open to learning more about God, and the dignity
God extends women. Plus, prisoners have time to read! Lives are
being radically changed by these books! One inmate said she
shared her donated book “to the point that it wore out.” Each
book has the potential of reaching hundreds of prisoners! If we
send 1,000 prisons two books, and each book reaches 200
individuals the first year we could reach 400,000 individuals!
We need your help in reaching this goal.
The two books we would like to send are: All God’s People
by John Phelan and Called and Gifted by Sharon Cairns
Mann. We selected these titles because they celebrate the value
and shared leadership God gives both men and women.
The publisher is giving us a great discount,
and we've already raised $700 towards our goal. But we still
need to raise $5,280 to buy 1,000
copies of each book! Will you give us a hand?
You can look up the project on
the website of the
Evangelical Covenant Church.
Will you join us in this exciting opportunity? Remember that
one book will touch many lives! Please respond generously today!
Jesus expressed his personal care for the prisoner, and now
we “visit” the prisoner in Jesus’ name.
Join us today!
In Christ,
Mimi Haddad
President
