Financial Accountability

CBE is committed to using our resources wisely and maintaining strong Christian ethics in fundraising, financial management, and governance.

To ensure we meet or exceed the highest standards, CBE is in full compliance with the following oversight organizations:

Since 1994, an accredited member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA), whose "steadfast purpose is to articulate, maintain, manifest, and enfore a code of financial accountability, ethics, and reporting consistent with enlightened and responsible Christian faith and practice."

Gold participant with GuideStar, which gathers and disseminates information about every IRS-registered nonprofit.

"Certified Transparent" by Excellence in Giving, a philanthropic advisory firm that evaluates the operational health and impact of nonprofits with a 175-data point analysis.

Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance, which evaluates nonprofits against 20 standards of governance, effectiveness, finances, and fundraising.

CBE is an exempt organization as described in IRC Sec. 501(c)3 and as such, donations qualify as charitable contributions where allowed by law. For more information on our fundraising philosophy and financial accountability, please contact us.
