CBE Publications Receive Three EPA Awards
MINNEAPOLIS – May 2006
For the fourth year in a row, the Evangelical Press Association (EPA) bestowed Higher Goals Awards on publications by Minneapolis-based Christians for Biblical Equality (CBE). At this year’s convention in Orlando, Fla., May 7-10, CBE’s academic journal, Priscilla Papers, received three awards in three distinct categories: biblical exposition, poetry, and critical review.
Walter C. Kaiser, Jr., former Professor of Old Testament and current President of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, earned 2nd place in biblical exposition for his article, “Correcting Caricatures: The Biblical Teaching on Women.”
In poetry, Victoria Peterson-Hilleque won 5th place for her piece, “The Color of Light.”
In the category of critical review, the critique of John Eldredge’s best-selling book, Wild at Heart (Nelson Books 2001), by Gordon College students Brynn Camery-Hoggatt and Nealson Munn, took 5th place.
